Welcome to the official website of the European Matsubayashi-ryu (Shorin-ryu) Karate-do Association (EMKA).

The art of Matsubayashi-ryu was founded in 1947 by Osensei Nagamine Shoshin (1907-1997).

The heir of Osensei is Soke Nagamine Takayoshi, and the EMKA was created at his request.

Together with the World Matsubayashi-ryu (Shorin-ryu) Karate-do Association (WMKA) we are part of the world wide network of dojos carrying this art forward.
